In my sales job I rate myself on days won and lost…today I didnt win the day…it was rough. My outside sales formula is: doors hit/decision makers seen (dms)/appointments set/sales made. I like to hit 25 to 30 doors a day. Yesterday I spoke with 7 dms and made four appointments. Even though I made no sales I won the day due to the ratio of dms seen and appointments set (any day is won with a sale). Today I hit about the same amount of doors, but only saw one dm, no appointments and no sales. So as a newbie it was a rough day. So tomorrow…which by the way I have my first appointment…I will rule the day!
