The older I have become the more insightful this time of year is for me. I have learned to give thanks throughout the year for many things but with my birthday less than a month away I start to look back on the year and reflect on that journey.
This past year I can honestly say was on of the worst in almost every area of my life. Whether it was spiritually, physically, emotionally, or financially and any other “lly’s” you can think of…they all took a hit, self inflicted or just life issues. I’ve experienced major life changes, with more to come, and it’s just been down right hard.
Yet through all of that…I still every morning have found reason to be thankful and I’m able to worship my God for the great things He’s doing. That may sound like and oxymoron but when your hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ, the grace and mercy that sustain you throughout the trying times is nothing less than a miracle.
I don’t know what the end of this year or next year holds, but as they say, “I look to the hills which cometh my help, my help cometh from the Lord” No matter the problem I am forever thankful for all the things Christ has done for me.
Since my BlackBerry Failed and I had to get the iPhone, I downloaded an alarm app that I can wake me up to music. The song that wakes me is My Tribute Melody by Israel Houghton. His song best describes my Thanksgiving. Take a look and listen.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!
How can I say thanks, for the thing you have done for me? Things so undeserved, yet you gave to prove your love for me. And the voices of a million angles could not express my gratitude. All that I am and every hope to be, I owe it all to you. To God be the glory, to God be the glory, to God be the glory for the things He has done!
